Russia launches new strikes on Izmail port area, impacts revealed

On the night of September 2, Russian forces once again attacked the port infrastructure in the Izmail district, according to the Izmail District State Administration.
“Thanks to a timely response to the threat, significant damage and casualties were prevented,” the administration reported.
The fires were quickly extinguished.
Earlier, reports indicated explosions in the Izmail district and the movement of a group of enemy attack drones toward the Tatarbunary district of the Odesa region.
Russian forces attacked the Izmail district on August 20. The attack damaged port infrastructure and caused fires. One person was injured.
The district was also attacked on the night of July 2. At that time, Shahed-type kamikaze drones struck the Vylkivska territorial community, damaging the port and tourist infrastructure.
On the night of July 16, a drone attack on the Izmail district hit an infrastructure facility, causing a fire.
