Russia launches massive glide bomb attack on Sumy, injuring five

Russian forces attacked a residential area of Sumy with guided aerial bombs overnight on August 10. The airstrikes damaged homes and left people injured in the city, according to Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Hryhorov.
According to reports from the Ukrainian Air Force, the city came under attack at around 3:00 a.m. Local authorities said Russian forces carried out five guided aerial bomb strikes on civilian infrastructure.
"At least five people were injured. They are receiving the necessary medical assistance. Residential areas were damaged. Specialists are inspecting the affected areas. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed," Hryhorov wrote.
He added that strikes hit three locations in two districts. Meanwhile, Serhii Kryvosheienko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, уточнив that the strikes were recorded in the Zarichnyi and Kovpakivskyi districts.
"Private homes, apartment buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged," he said in Telegram.
Other attacks
It should be recalled that overnight on August 6, Russian forces also attacked Sumy with aerial bombs. The attack damaged apartment buildings, non-residential buildings, stores and infrastructure facilities. There were also casualties.
We also reported that Sumy came under another Russian attack overnight on August 4. The attack damaged and destroyed residential buildings as well as non-residential structures.
