Russia launches massive drone strike on Chernihiv — Injured reported

Today, on October 27, Russian forces carried out a massive drone strike on Chernihiv. As a result of falling debris, two people were injured, according to the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi.
He reported that a drone crashed near a residential building in the city's northern part.
Later, he added that as a result of the crash of the Russian kamikaze drone, two people were injured.
Earlier, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported groups of Russian drones heading toward Chernihiv. According to monitoring groups' data, about 15 Shahed drones were observed near the city.
Bryzhynskyi reported that the explosions heard by the city’s residents were linked to air defense operations. He also called on all citizens to stay in safe places and not leave shelters.
Attack on Chernihiv
On the evening of Sunday, October 26, the Russians attempted to attack Chernihiv with drones — one of the enterprises was hit, and a car caught fire.
Earlier, during the night of October 21, the Russians carried out a combined attack on the Chernihiv region; hits on energy infrastructure facilities were recorded.
In particular, two Shahed-type drones struck heating supply facilities in two communities of the Chernihiv district. As a result of the strike, emergency power outages were introduced in Chernihiv and the northern communities of the region. The water supply in the city also completely stopped.
On October 24, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced that electricity supply to all consumers in Chernihiv had been restored.
