Russia launches drone attack on Sumy, homes damaged, woman suffers stress reaction

Late in the evening on October 12, Russian forces launched a drone strike on the city of Sumy. The attack damaged several residential buildings, shattering windows. One woman sought medical assistance, according to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.
“The impact of the attack drone shattered windows in several apartment buildings and damaged a non-residential structure. Preliminary reports indicate there are no casualties or injuries,” the statement said.
At the same time, Hryhorov added that one woman required medical attention due to an acute stress reaction. Doctors provided her with the necessary care.
All necessary emergency services are currently on site, and the area is still being inspected.

“The owners of the damaged homes will receive the necessary assistance,” the head of the regional administration reported.
Attacks on the Sumy region
Russia continues to regularly attack Sumy and the surrounding area, using drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.
In particular, on October 8, the enemy used drones for an attack. That day, one of the drones struck a residential apartment building, damaging the roof and several windows.
Earlier, during the night of September 26, Russian forces dropped a guided aerial bomb on a residential area in the Stetskivka community, damaging several houses.
