Russian army today, November 8, launched a missile strike on the Sumy community. The target of the enemy was critical infrastructure, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram.

"Today, November 8, the enemy launched a missile strike (ballistic) on the critical infrastructure of the Sumy community," the statement from the Regional Military Administration reads.

It was also added that emergency rescue services are working at the site. The consequences of the attack are being clarified.

The regional administration urged local residents not to ignore air raid alerts.

Explosions in Sumy

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned this evening that a fast-moving target had been detected in the Sumy region.

Following this, media reports indicated that an explosion occurred in Sumy.

Additionally, today Russia also struck the village of Krasnopillia in the Sumy region with a guided aerial bomb. It was reported that as a result of the enemy attack, there were injuries, and rescuers managed to pull a woman from the rubble.

Earlier, residents of Sumy and the Sumy community were warned about power outages scheduled for November 8 and 9 due to maintenance work.
