Russia launches airstrike on Zaporizhzhia: Houses destroyed, casualties reported

Due to an airstrike on the village of Omelnyk in the Zaporizhzhia region, a 49-year-old man was killed. One woman also sustained injuries, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov report.
The day before, Russian forces carried out air strikes on the village of Omelnyk, in the Polohivskyi district of the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result of the attack, a residential building was destroyed and a fire broke out on the spot.
Two people were trapped under the rubble: a 49-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman.
The injured woman managed to free herself from under the debris, and medics from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine provided her with necessary assistance, though she refused hospitalization.
The 49-year-old man could not be saved - his body was recovered from under the rubble.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire.
Situation in Zaporizhzhia region
Over one day, the Russian army carried out 510 strikes on 13 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, including Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Omelnyk, Yehorivka, and Mala Tokmachka.
The enemy carried out 10 airstrikes, attacked with 382 drones, and shelled the area with MLRS seven times. As a result, buildings, apartments, cars, and garages were damaged in several settlements.
In addition, 111 enemy artillery strikes targeted areas in Piatykhatky, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka.
Attack on Ukraine
On the night of March 3, Russian troops attacked Odesa with drones. As a result of the strike, the energy infrastructure was damaged, and part of the city was left without power.
Moreover, on the night of March 4, Russian forces attacked Sumy with drones. There was a hit on a polyclinic, and there were also power outages in the city.
