Russia attacked Ukraine overnight on November 21, deploying 115 strike drones, about 70 of which were Shahed-type UAVs, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to the military, Russian forces launched 115 strike drones — including Shahed, Gerbera, and other types — from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske (Crimea). About 70 of them were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, Ukrainian air defense shot down or suppressed 95 enemy drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
There were confirmed impacts from 19 strike drones at 12 locations, as well as debris from downed drones falling at four locations.
Civil infrastructure facilities and private households in Chernihiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions suffered the most. Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties.
In addition, the enemy struck the city of Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs. Five people were killed, and multi-story buildings, a marketplace, a supermarket, and vehicles were damaged.
"Russia continues to attack southern Ukraine with strike drones. Several groups of enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force emphasized.
