Russia kills 3 Ukrainian power engineers with drones

On Tuesday morning, February 17, Russians struck a car carrying employees of the Slovyansk Thermal Power Plant with drones. As a result of the attack, three people were killed, and one was injured, according to First Deputy Minister of Energy Artem Nekrasov and the State Emergency Service of the Donetsk region.

"In the morning, a Russian drone attacked a car carrying employees of the Sloviansk Thermal Power Plant. Unfortunately, three of them were killed. This is yet another reminder of how high the price of light and heat in our homes is," he says.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine specifies that a Russian attack took place in the town of Mykolaivka in the Kramatorsk district.
"As a result of the Russian strike, three people were killed, and another was injured. At the scene, emergency responders assisted the victim and handed him over to emergency medical personnel. In addition, rescuers extinguished the car fire," the State Emergency Service of Ukraine says.

In addition, rescuers note that Russians continue to mercilessly shell civilians in frontline communities and call on residents to evacuate to safer regions.
Recently, a DTEK repair crew came under Russian fire in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Two drones hit a service vehicle, which burned to the ground, but there were no casualties.
In addition, on February 1, Russians attacked a service bus carrying miners in the Dnipropetrovsk region with a drone. As a result of the Russian attack, 12 miners were killed, and 16 more were wounded.
According to DTEK CEO Maksym Timchenko, this attack was the biggest tragedy for the company since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
