'Russia killed them': Prime Minister reveals number of victims among Ukrainian civilians

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has killed 13,000 civilians, including 618 children, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported.
"Every day, Russia inflicts bloody wounds on Ukraine. It targets our peaceful cities and villages - Kryvyi Rih, Sumy, Dnipro, and Odesa. Last night, the enemy launched drones and missiles at Kyiv," Shmyhal said.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has killed 13,000 civilians, including 618 children.
"(Russia - ed.) has carried out 1,700 attacks on schools, over 780 attacks on hospitals, and more than 30 massive and hundreds of smaller attacks on Ukraine's energy sector. Every day, more than a hundred combat clashes occur along the frontline," the Prime Minister noted.
According to Shmyhal, Ukrainian soldiers are holding back enemy forces and inflicting significant losses.
"Since 2022, the capacity of our defense industry has increased 35 times, and now we produce 40% of all the weapons used by the Ukrainian army. We thank our friends and partners around the world, especially the American people and the Ukrainian diaspora. Today, we need American leadership, including a proactive stance from Ukrainians in the US," the Prime Minister said.
Shmyhal also emphasized that Russia must pay doubly - not only financially for the destruction caused.
"We seek accountability for the Russians committing these crimes - personal responsibility in court. Including Russia's highest military and political leadership. This is necessary for Europe and America alike, so that the future world is safe, and our children live in peace," the Prime Minister emphasized.
