Russia increases range of guided aerial bombs for strikes on Zaporizhzhia - Ukrainian Defense Forces
Russia has modified the design of guided aerial bombs (KAB), allowing the projectiles to reach significantly greater distances, according to South Defense Forces spokesperson Vladyslav Voloshyn.
According to Voloshyn, about a month ago, the Russians began striking central Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs, even though it is located more than 30 kilometers from the front line.
"This indicates that the enemy has modified the design of these aerial bombs, allowing them to reach much farther than before. They have started using these powerful guided bombs against Zaporizhzhia and other Ukrainian cities near the front line within the range of these KABs," he explained.
The South Defense Forces spokesperson added that the range of KAB use has significantly expanded. Their deployment has also been recorded in other directions, including Kharkiv and Kramatorsk.
Shelling of Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian shelling of Ukrainian territory has become a constant threat. Russian forces employ a wide range of weaponry, including missiles, guided aerial bombs, and drones. Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in drone attacks, with the enemy launching them nearly every night in attempts to strike Ukrainian targets.
Kharkiv region frequently comes under KAB strikes as well. Yesterday, on October 24, Russian forces shelled the territory of the Malodanylivka community, causing power outages in the area.
On the same day, the attackers struck near a store and market in Kupiansk.
