Russia hits Sumy overnight, child reported among casualties

On the night of September 2, Russian forces struck Sumy. There are casualties, including a child, according to the head of the City Military Administration, Serhii Kryvosheyenko.
The attack destroyed a market building. Four residential buildings were damaged, and about 50 windows were shattered.
Some of the injured sought outpatient medical care, including a child.
“The fire has been extinguished. Utility services are involved in dealing with the aftermath,” the City Military Administration reported.
Earlier, acting Sumy mayor Artem Kobzar reported two explosions in Sumy. He also shared a video showing the fire.
According to him, an enemy drone hit a non-residential building. “Unfortunately, there are injured people. Further information will be provided,” he said.
Head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Hryhorov clarified that Russian drones struck non-residential buildings in the Zarichnyi district of Sumy. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
