Russian forces again struck Naftogaz facilities on Saturday, May 2. Over the past two days, infrastructure in three Ukrainian regions has been attacked, according to the company's reports.

In particular, a gas production facility in the Kharkiv region came under attack yesterday, resulting in damage to equipment. Naftogaz specialists are working at the site, and an assessment of the damage is ongoing.

Earlier today, May 2, a gas pipeline in the Zaporizhzhia region was also hit.

"Today, following an enemy aerial bomb attack, a gas pipeline in the Zaporizhzhia region was damaged. Some consumers have been temporarily left without gas. Repair teams are coordinating their actions with the military and will begin restoration work as soon as the security situation allows," the statement said.

In addition, one Naftogaz employee was injured today during a strike in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He is currently receiving medical treatment.

The company also added that since the beginning of 2026, Naftogaz facilities have already been attacked 99 times.

Russia strikes Naftogaz

Earlier, on April 4, Russian forces twice attacked Naftogaz infrastructure facilities in the Poltava region using drones. The strikes caused a fire.

The following day, Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi said Russia had deliberately targeted oil and gas infrastructure facilities in the Poltava and Sumy regions for the second day in a row.
