Over the past week, Russia has attacked Ukraine with nearly 1,750 strike drones, 1,530 guided aerial bombs, and 39 missiles, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Telegram channel.

"Over the past week, Russia has attacked our country thousands of times. The enemy used nearly 1,750 strike drones, 1,530 guided aerial bombs, and 39 missiles against our people. Civilian infrastructure — including energy facilities and residential buildings — has been under attack," Zelenskyy said.

The president noted that Ukrainian forces have been able to neutralize most of the targets, but more defense is needed every day.

He emphasized that air defense missiles are a priority, making contributions and deliveries through the PURL program crucial.

"And I thank everyone who continues to provide support. Sanctions against Russia and its allies must be further strengthened. Everything that helps Russia fund and continue this war must be blocked. Today, negotiations with European partners will take place regarding each of these measures," Zelenskyy added.

Attacks on Ukraine

Recall that on the night of March 8, Russia attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 117 strike drones from six directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 98 enemy drones.

At the same time, two ballistic missiles and 19 strike drones hit 11 locations.

On the night of March 7, Russian forces launched 29 missiles, most of them ballistic, along with 480 drones against Ukraine.

The heaviest strikes targeted Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv. Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, as well as other parts of the country, were also hit.

Notably, a ballistic missile strike on a high-rise in Kharkiv caused a fire. There were casualties, including children, and several people were injured.
