Early on Monday morning, November 2, Russia's Samara region came under a drone attack. The likely target was the Samara linear production and dispatch station in the town of Prosvet, where a fire broke out following the attack, according to OSINT accounts and Russian Telegram channels.

At around 03:00 am local time, Russian monitoring channels reported a drone attack threat in the Samara region. Reports also claimed that workers were evacuated from various warehouse facilities in Samara itself as a precaution.

By 5 am, several OSINT channels had begun publishing footage from the settlement of Prosvet. According to them, drones struck the Samara linear production and dispatch station, triggering a fire in the area. It was also noted that this was the third attack in recent times.Russia hit by another drone attack: Fire reported at Samara oil hubPhoto: Russia's Samara region came under a drone attack (Russian Telegram channels)Russia hit by another drone attack: Fire reported at Samara oil hubPhoto: Russia's Samara region came under a drone attack (Russian Telegram channels)

The Samara station is an important hub for receiving, storing, and further transporting oil. It also has one of the largest tank farms in Europe.

Local authorities have not yet commented on the situation.

On October 7, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces also announced an attack on the Samara linear production and dispatch station. The station was struck by operators of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

The facility was also targeted on October 2. At the time, the attack sparked a fire at the site.

Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry app was hacked overnight by unknown individuals. As a result, Russians received a warning about an impending "action" and were urged to stock up on food for several weeks and head down to their basements.
