Russian troops have launched yet another attack on residential neighborhoods in Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the Russian strike, private homes caught fire in one of the city’s districts.

The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration has already released the first images of the aftermath: shattered windows, destroyed property, and the despair of people who lost their homes in a matter of minutes. Indeed, the photos show that only charred walls remain of some houses.

According to reports from the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the blast wave and direct hits have led to some buildings being completely destroyed.

State Emergency Service units immediately began work at the impact sites. Rescuers are extinguishing fires under extreme conditions, trying to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring homes.

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov also provided initial details about the injured. Initially, reports indicated a woman who received on-site medical care and was hospitalized.

Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia

In March 2026, Russian shelling and strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region and the city of Zaporizhzhia itself have been occurring regularly. The occupiers are using drones, aerial bombs, and missiles for their attacks.

For example, on the morning of March 11, the Russians struck a high-rise building with an aerial bomb. In addition, the blast wave damaged neighboring buildings.

Furthermore, on Saturday, March 14, in the afternoon, Russians launched a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia. A residential neighborhood of the city came under Russian attack. As a result of the Russian strikes, one man was killed, and 18 others, including two children and a 17-year-old teenager, were wounded. In total, Russia damaged 12 high-rise buildings, 12 private homes, an infrastructure facility, and vehicles.
