Russia fires 165 drones and missiles at Ukraine overnight: How many shot down?

Russia launched a combined strike on Ukraine on the night of February 1, using various types of missiles, as well as Shahed drones and imitator drones of other types. In total, the enemy fired 165 air attack weapons, according to the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In total, the radio-technical forces of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces detected and tracked 165 enemy aerial targets:
- 7 ballistic missiles Iskander-M/KN-23 (launch areas - temporarily occupied Crimea, Voronezh region, Russia);
- 7 cruise missiles Iskander-K (launch areas - temporarily occupied Crimea, temporarily occupied Donetsk region);
- 8 Kh-22/32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft;
- 4 Kalibr cruise missiles (launched from carriers in the Black Sea);
- 8 Kh-101/Kh-55SM cruise missiles from strategic bombers Tu-95MS;
- 10 guided air missiles Kh-59/Kh-69 from tactical aviation aircraft (launch area - Voronezh region, Russia);
- 2 guided air missiles Kh-31P (from the Black Sea);
- 123 Shahed attack UAVs/imitator drones of various types (launch areas - Kursk, Orel, Millero, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia, Chaudа, temporarily occupied Crimea).
To repel the enemy's air attack, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved. Preliminary data indicates the destruction of 56 Shahed attack drones/imitator drones of various types, and 61 drones did not reach their targets (lost locationally). Some of the enemy's cruise missiles were destroyed by air defense.
"A significant portion of the missiles, due to active opposition from the Defense Forces, did not reach their targets. However, there were also hits, including missiles following a ballistic trajectory. Detailed information on the enemy's missiles will not be released for now," the statement said.
Combined Russian strike on Ukraine
It is reminded that during the massive attack, Russian troops struck Kharkiv, resulting in one fatality. Occupiers also hit a multi-story residential building in Poltava, where 7 people were killed and 14 others were injured.
Also, on the night of February 1, the enemy shelled Ukrainian enterprises and energy infrastructure facilities in the Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Kyiv regions. For more on the massive attack, read the separate article by RBC-Ukraine.
Additionally, Putin’s forces previously launched a missile strike on the center of Odesa. As a result of the attack, 7 people were injured. Significant damage occurred to the Bristol Hotel building, one of the most prominent architectural structures in the city's central part.
Also, due to the shockwave, nearby historical buildings in the center of Odesa were damaged. Around 15 cultural heritage landmarks sustained varying degrees of damage.
