Attacks across Ukraine

On the night of December 28, Russian forces launched another attack on Ukraine using nearly 50 strike drones. Most of the drones were intercepted by air defense forces.

On the night and morning of December 27, Russia carried out a massive combined attack on Ukraine, deploying strike drones and missiles of various types.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy reported that power generation, transmission, and distribution facilities in Kyiv and the Kyiv region were hit.

As a result of the attack, substations, overhead power lines, and several generation facilities sustained significant damage.

Additionally, it later became known that kamikaze drones struck gas infrastructure and thermal power plants operated by the Naftogaz group.

Kyiv and the surrounding region were the primary targets of the Russian attack, with damage recorded in seven districts of the capital.

Russian forces also attacked the Poltava region twice during the day on December 27, striking an energy facility and damaging equipment.
