On the night of December 28, Russian forces carried out another attack on Ukraine using strike drones, according to the Air Force.

From 6:00 p.m. local time on December 27, the enemy launched 48 unmanned aerial vehicles, including Shahed-type drones, Gerbera drones, and other types of UAVs. The launches were carried out from Russian territory — from the areas of Oryol, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk — as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea, from the directions of Hvardiiske and Chauda. About 30 of the drones were Shaheds.

The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data as of 8:30 a.m., air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 30 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country.

At the same time, strikes by 18 drones were recorded at nine locations. Information on the consequences of the attack is being уточнено.
