Russia developing satellite that can carry nuclear weapons – US intelligence

In a report, the US intelligence says that Russia is likely working on the development of a new satellite capable of carrying nuclear weapons, informs Sky News.
The annual threat assessment prepared by the US intelligence community emphasizes that such Russian weapons could have "devastating consequences" for the US and the entire world.
The report also notes that the war in Ukraine has provided Russia with a "wealth of lessons" regarding Western weapons and intelligence.
According to US intelligence, although Moscow will not achieve a "total victory" in its war against Ukraine, the balance of power remains on the side of the aggressor.
Nuclear weapons in space
Last year, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Mike Turner, discussed Russia's plans to deploy nuclear weapons in space.
As ABC News wrote, Russia intended to use such weapons against other satellites, not for strikes on targets on Earth.
Subsequently, analysts told Reuters that this is most likely not about nuclear warheads in space but rather a powerful device that requires nuclear energy for a range of attacks on satellites.
