Russia deployed one Kalibr missile carrier to the Mediterranean Sea on July 11, according to a statement from the Ukrainian Navy.

The military reported that as of 6:00 AM Kyiv time, there were no Russian ships in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas.

However, three Russian ships are present in the Mediterranean Sea, one of which is a Kalibr cruise missile carrier with a total salvo capacity of four missiles.

The Ukrainian Navy also reported that over the past day, the following transits through the Kerch Strait were made in Russia’s interests:

  • To the Black Sea – 4 vessels, 2 of which continued toward the Bosporus Strait;

  • To the Sea of Azov – 2 vessels, with none arriving from the Bosporus Strait.

"Russia continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), 1974, by disabling automatic identification systems," the Ukrainian Navy noted.

Russian losses on frontline

Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that since the beginning of 2025, Russia has lost 100,000 soldiers killed in the war against Ukraine.

According to him, the losses of Ukraine’s Defense Forces are significantly lower than those of the Russians.

Meanwhile, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that in the first six months of 2025, Ukrainian defenders eliminated over 230,000 occupying troops.
