Russia deploys Kalibr carriers to Black Sea: Potential missile salvo revealed

The Russian Federation once again deployed a missile carrier to the Black Sea on the morning of April 5, posing a threat of strikes against Ukraine, according to a statement from the Ukrainian Navy.
As of 06:00 today, one vessel was detected in the Black Sea. It is armed with Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to four missiles.
Meanwhile, no enemy ships were observed in the Sea of Azov, as in previous days. However, in the Mediterranean, military officials recorded the presence of three vessels, each capable of carrying up to 26 missiles.
Additionally, over the past 24 hours, vessels passed through the Kerch Strait in Russia’s interest:
-
12 ships entered the Black Sea
-
8 ships entered the Sea of Azov
"Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling automatic identification systems," the statement said.
It is worth noting that the last time Russian vessels armed with Kalibr missiles were detected in the Black Sea was on Wednesday, April 2. At that time, two ships were present, with a total salvo capacity of up to eight missiles.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that, according to Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk, Russia has not carried out strikes on Ukrainian ports since the last round of negotiations in Saudi Arabia.
