Russia has again positioned its ships in the Black Sea on the morning of December 26. The threat of missile strikes on Ukraine remains, reports the Ukrainian Navy.

As of 06:00, two ships have been detected in the Black Sea. One of them is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo of up to four missiles.

At the same time, there are no enemy ships in the Azov Sea. However, in the Mediterranean Sea, six Russian vessels have been detected, two of which are Kalibr carriers with a total salvo of up to 22 missiles.

The Ukrainian Navy reported that over the past 24 hours, in the interests of Russia, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait:

  • to the Black Sea - no ships entered;
  • to the Azov Sea - 3 ships, 1 of which came from the Bosporus Strait.

"Russia continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) of 1974 by disabling automatic identification systems," the statement reads.

Russia regularly keeps ships armed with Kalibr missiles in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. On January 25, the military also detected two enemy ships that Russia had deployed for combat duty, including a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles.

Occasionally, Russia launches missile strikes on Ukrainian territory from the waters of the Black Sea.
