Russians continue to strengthen the defense of the Kerch Bridge, which connects the Crimean Peninsula with mainland Russia. Alongside the main bridge, a backup bridge is being constructed, according to the Telegram channel Krymskiy veter.

The published photos show that the Russians continue to build piles, and work is also underway nearby to construct an additional bridge.

Additional structures are also being built from the arched spans of the bridge towards Kuban.

It is worth noting that earlier the construction of protective structures near the bridge had already been observed. In particular, the Russians are attempting to block the bridge with a special structure.

It is worth reminding that the bridge across the Kerch Strait was built in 2014. The Russians use it to supply their troops in the war against Ukraine.

Recently, it became known that the invaders continue to increase the number of barges near the strategic crossing in Russia for its protection.

At the same time, the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that Ukrainian defenders could destroy the Crimean Bridge this year.
