Russia conducts drone control contest in occupied Ukrainian territories
Russian forces in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region held a competition to test skills in operating unmanned aerial vehicles. A ten-year-old resident of the temporarily captured Makiivka won the contest, according to the National Resistance Center of Ukraine (NRC).
The competition Air Patrol is a Kremlin martial arts union project directly funded by Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is actively implemented in educational institutions in the Donetsk region and across all temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The NRC noted that the Kremlin views training Ukrainian children to operate unmanned aerial vehicles as one of the key skills in preparing for military service and participation in future wars against their own country.
“The occupation authorities actively involve young people, including children, in their military structures and in work at the facilities of the military-industrial complex. By using civilians, especially children, for military purposes, the Kremlin once again demonstrates its disregard for international standards and human rights,” the NRC said.
The situation in occupied territories
The socio-economic situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is deteriorating.
Recently, it became known that repression against pro-Ukrainian children has intensified. Inspectors from the Juvenile Affairs Department have frequently visited schools.
In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, Russian forces are distributing apartments to residents from Central Asia.
Meanwhile, a catastrophe in the housing and utilities sector is approaching in the temporarily occupied areas of the Zaporizhzhia region.
