A drone supposedly crashed onto the territory of the Petersburg Oil Terminal. Attacks on this important Russian facility are not unprecedented, according to ASTRA.

On the morning of March 3, a drone of aircraft type was found on the territory of the oil and gas company Petersburg Oil Terminal in St. Petersburg.

"The UAV was equipped with an explosive charge weighing about 20 kg. There was no explosion, no casualties," says the Telegram channel.

Not the first attack

This is already the second attack of UAVs on the territory of the Petersburg Oil Terminal. The first attack was recorded on January 18, 2024.

The Petersburg Oil Terminal started operating in 1996 in the oil district of the Leningrad Port. According to Russian media reports, this is the largest Russian terminal for transshipment of petroleum products in the Baltic region (capacity - 12.5 million tons per year), as well as the largest stevedoring company of the Great Port of St. Petersburg.

On the night of January 21, an explosion rocked the area of the oil terminal of the Commercial Sea Port in the settlement of Ust-Luga, Leningrad region. Residents of the nearest towns located near the port reported drones. Later, a fire broke out at the terminal. About 150 people had to be evacuated from the enterprise.
