Russian troops are building a new base for launching Shahed-type strike drones less than 200 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, reports Atesh.
“The Russian Armed Forces continue construction of a Shahed launch site in the Oryol region. Agents continue to monitor the facility in the city of Oryol, which the enemy is likely using to launch strike UAVs,” the Atesh statement said.
The coordinates of the new Russian base are 53.371473, 35.802940.
Earlier, increased activity had already been recorded in this area. Additional reconnaissance of the site showed that at the new location, construction of permanent concrete storage facilities for storing and preparing Shaheds for launches has been recorded.
“Movement of personnel and transport does not stop, and construction work continues, indicating modernization or expansion of infrastructure,” Atesh added.

The Navy, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, attacked a storage base for Shahed-type drones. It was located near the settlement of Oktyabrsky in Russia’s Krasnodar region.
The Ukrainian Air Force carried out a successful strike on a Russian base in the Kursk region, from where strike drones were launched.
