Russia breaches ceasefire again on day two, new assault figures released

As of 4:00 p.m. on May 10, Russian forces have already launched 60 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces since the start of the day, with the highest number of clashes recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Incoming strikes by Russia
The General Staff reported that border areas are under artillery shelling. In the Sumy region, the settlements of Koreniok, Novovasylivka, Rohizne, Yastrubshchyna, Budky, Atynske, Neskuchne, Bachivsk, Luzhky, Volfyne, and Iskryskivshchyna came under fire.
Frontline situations
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions: One of the nine engagements that took place today is still ongoing. Russians also carried out 41 strikes on the settlements and Ukrainian positions, ten of them using multiple launch rocket systems.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction: Russia launched eight assaults on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Zelenе, Starytsia, Petro-Ivanivka, Myrove, Symynivka, and Krasne Pershe. One clash continues.
No enemy offensives have been recorded today in the Kupiansk, Kramatorsk, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovskyi directions.
Lyman direction: Russian troops launched five assaults near the settlements of Zarichne, Lyman, Stavky, and Ozerne.
Sloviansk direction: Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled two Russian attempts to advance near Rai-Oleksandrivka and Riznykivka settlements.
Kostiantynivka direction: Russian forces launched five attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, and Ivanopillia. One clash still continues.
Pokrovsk direction: Since the start of the day, Russians have made 24 attempts to push Ukrainian troops from their positions near the settlements of Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Muravka, Novopidhorodne, and toward Hannivka, Myrne, Serhiivka, and Novooleksandrivka. One engagement is still ongoing.
Oleksandrivka direction: Ukrainian defenders successfully halted the Russians' attack near the settlement of Oleksandrohrad.
Huliaipole direction: The Defense Forces successfully repelled nine enemy assaults near the settlements of Rybne, Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Olenokostiantynivka, and Huliaipilske.
In other directions, no significant changes in the situation were reported, with no advance attempts recorded.
Other details
As of the evening of May 9, Russian forces also violated the ceasefire that was scheduled from May 9 to 11. According to the General Staff's report, 121 clashes were recorded along the front, with the heaviest fighting in the Huliaipole and Pokrovsk directions.
The media also reported on May 9 that Joint Forces Group spokesperson Viktor Trehubov said the Russian army was acting less actively. However, he noted that Russia uses pauses in fighting to strengthen its future offensive capabilities.
