On the afternoon of October 5, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs. According to Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov, Russian strikes resulted in casualties, caused fires in warehouse facilities, and damaged residential buildings.

Russian troops carried out at least three strikes on the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs.

Warehouse facilities caught fire following the attack. In addition, residential buildings were damaged.

Later, Oleh Siniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, clarified that a five-story building was damaged as a result of the Russian guided aerial bomb strike in the Slobidskyi district.

"At this time, we know of one injured woman. All emergency services are working at the site of the Russian attack," he added.

Furthermore, according to Terekhov, there may be people trapped under the rubble in the residential building that came under Russian fire.

A search-and-rescue operation is underway.

Later, the mayor of Kharkiv reported one fatality as a result of the Russian strike. Another 10 people were injured.

As of 3:26 p.m., the death toll had risen to 2. Another 25 people were injured.

Fifteen minutes later, it was reported that there was another victim of the Russian attack. Thus, the death toll rose to 3 people.

Russia also struck a gas station in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv with a combat drone.

On the evening of October 4, the Russians attacked Kharkiv with Banderol loitering munitions. One of them struck an apartment building in the Industrialnyi district. As a result of the double Russian strike, one person was killed, and six others were injured.

In addition, on October 2, Russia struck two districts of Kharkiv, Slobidskyi and Nemyshlianskyi, simultaneously with guided aerial bombs. One of the strikes hit a residential building. Several dozen people were injured as a result of the Russian attack.
