Russia bombs Ukraine's Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant for 3 hours straight

        Russians are massively attacking the Ivano-Frankivsk region with drones and missiles at night and in the morning of October 30. In Burshtyn, explosions have been going on for several hours, according to Suspilne and the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional military administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk.
An air raid alert was declared in the Ivano-Frankivsk region at 4:30 a.m. Kyiv time due to the threat of Russian drone attacks, and at 4:44 a.m., the first explosions were reported in the region.
Monitoring resources reported that the city of Burshtyn could be under Russian attack.
At around 5:17 a.m., reports of explosions in Ivano-Frankivsk itself began to appear on social media. The regional military administration warned of the danger of Russian drones and urged residents not to leave their shelters.
"Be careful: there is a threat of Russian combat drones to the Ivano-Frankivsk region," the regional military administration says in a statement.
Meanwhile, Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv also posted a message: "Air defense is working! Let's be careful!"
He later warned of possible power outages due to strikes on energy facilities.
After 6 a.m., explosions began to be heard in Burshtyn. According to Suspilne, the sounds of explosions continued in the city for almost 3 hours. As of 7:35 and 7:51 a.m., journalists reported a new series of explosions that continued almost continuously.
Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant
The Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant is located near the city at a strategic intersection of power lines connecting Ukraine's energy system with Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia.
During Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the TPP has already been damaged several times as a result of Russian attacks, but the management of the enterprise assures that the facility will be restored.
Russian attack on Ukraine on October 30
On the night of Thursday, October 30, Russia launched a combined massive strike on Ukraine.
From the Black Sea, the Russian troops launched Kalibr cruise missiles, from Tu-95MS air carriers - Kh-101 missiles, and also struck with Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles launched from MiG-31K fighters.
At the same time, most regions of the country were under Russian drone attack throughout the night. The main direction of the strikes was aimed at the western regions of Ukraine and settlements where important energy facilities are located.
Emergency power cuts began in all regions.
