Russia attempts to push Ukraine's Forces out near Toretsk using bomber aviation - General Staff

According to the General Staff, today, areas around the settlements of Karpovychi, Uhly, Mezenivka, Semenivka, Mykolaivka, Vovkivka, Stepok, Popivka, Malushyne, Velika Pysarivka, Iskryskivshchyna, Bobylivka, and Striletska Pushkarka in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions have been affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In addition, the Russian army has carried out airstrikes with KAB bombs (guided aerial bombs) on the areas of Pavlivka, Bilopillya, Hodunivka, Pustohorod, and Halahanivka.

The Russian troops are attacking in the Toretsk direction with the support of bomber aircraft. Over the past day, they attempted five times to dislodge our units from their positions in the areas of Toretsk and Nelipivka. They received a strong rebuff. Additionally, Russian aggressors targeted Diliivka with NARs (unguided rockets) and KABs.

Situation in the directions

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to storm our positions in the area of Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk direction, six battles took place since the beginning of the day. The enemy carried out offensive actions near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka, and towards Lozova.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy carried out ten assaults in the areas of seven different settlements. Six battles are still ongoing. The enemy is concentrating its efforts near Novosadove and Nevske, where it conducted half of the total attacks in the direction.

In the Siversk direction, Defense Forces repelled nine attempts by the Russian forces to advance near Verkhniokamianske, Ivano-Dariivka, Spirne, and Zvanivka. In attacks towards the latter, Russia used armored vehicles in addition to infantry and suffered losses.

In the Kramatorsk direction, two clashes occurred. The invaders advanced towards Bila Hora and dropped an air bomb targeting Predtechyne.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 23 assault actions in the areas of Vozdvyzhenska, Zelenе Pole, Novotroїtske, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Selydove, and Mykhailivka. The Russian forces also conducted an airstrike on Panteleimonivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian troops and have repelled 16 attacks, with seven battles ongoing, primarily around Novohrodivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the invaders attacked 28 times towards Dolynove, Zhelanne Pershe, Ukrainske, Halytsynivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Kostiantynivka. 19 attempts by the Russian troops to advance have already been repelled. The fighting continues, with the most intense battles currently near Krasnohorivka.

In the Vremivka direction, the enemy conducted seven assaults on our positions, acting towards Zolota Nyva, Vuhledar, and Shakhtarsk. Two battles near Vuhledar are still ongoing. Additionally, the invaders used NARs against Vuhledar and Vodiane, and targeted Katerynivka with KAB bombs.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out two attacks. Russian aviation was active, conducting strikes on the areas of Novoandriivka, Stepnohirske, Kamianske, Novodanilivka, Luhivske, and Bilohirya. They employed nearly 70 unguided aerial rockets and seven KABs.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, seven enemy assaults were repelled.

In other directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

Russian losses in the war

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, as of September 9, the Russian Federation has lost over 626,000 military personnel. Over the past day, the Defense Forces have eliminated another 1,150 Russian soldiers.
