The Russian forces are trying to advance into the northern part of Pokrovsk in the fog. These attempts are being blocked by Ukrainian troops, who are destroying the enemy, the Operational Command East reported.

Situation in Pokrovsk

As noted, search-and-assault actions and the elimination of Russian units in the urban area continue in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.

According to the military, Russian forces are trying to infiltrate the northern part of the city using thick fog. All such attempts are being blocked, and the enemy is being destroyed.

The grouping reported that in the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces stopped 43 Russian attacks in the areas of Shakhove, Fedorivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Nykonorivka, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, and toward Novopavlivka.

According to preliminary data, over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 84 Russian troops in this direction, 48 of them irreversibly.

Situation in Myrnohrad

The situation also remains difficult in the Myrnohrad area. Ukrainian units continue to carry out their assigned tasks and hold their positions.

"The enemy is actively shelling Myrnohrad using glide bombs. The enemy is conducting intensive assault actions, trying to penetrate and establish itself on the southeastern outskirts of the city," the Operational Command East reported.

The grouping added that the Defense Forces are destroying Russian assault groups using all available means.

In addition, additional logistical routes to Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad are being organized to ensure an uninterrupted supply of everything necessary to Ukrainian units and to conduct a timely evacuation.

Fighting on the Pokrovsk axis

The Pokrovsk direction has long remained the epicenter of fighting in the Donetsk region. Russian forces are trying to encircle Pokrovsk from several directions and are transferring additional troops there.

According to Air Assault Forces officer Serhii Lefter, Russian forces recently committed operational reserves to seize the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration.

He also said that, as of now, Russian forces have secured positions in the southern districts of Pokrovsk. The northern part of the city remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
