Russia attacks Zaporizhzhia: Strike on residential building, number of injured rises to 8

Late in the evening on May 1, Russian forces launched drone strikes on Zaporizhzhia. A residential area came under attack, and the number of injured has risen again, according to the Telegram channel of the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
"The enemy once again struck the residential sector of the city of Zaporizhzhia. One residential building and many infrastructure facilities were damaged. At least one person was killed," Fedorov said.
He also reported that the number of injured has risen to eight.
"One man is trapped under the rubble. Rescuers are doing everything possible to free him as quickly as possible," the statement said.
"Rescuers have pulled the man out from under the rubble. He is currently receiving all the necessary medical assistance," Fedorov reported.
Russia's attack on Zaporizhzhia
At around 22:07, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that Zaporizhzhia was under a massive drone attack. About 20 minutes later, it became known that the city had been hit more than 10 times.
Soon after, information began to emerge about damage and casualties. In particular, Fedorov reported that the deceased was a 61-year-old man.
