Zaporizhzhia under massive Russian drone attack: Over 10 explosions, fatality reported

The Russian army launched a massive drone strike on the city of Zaporizhzhia on the evening of Thursday, May 1. There are already reports of casualties, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
Around 10:07 PM Kyiv time, Fedorov reported that the city was under a massive attack and urged locals to take shelter.
By 10:29 PM, according to his data, over 10 drone strikes had been carried out on Zaporizhzhia.
"The Russians have launched at least 10 strikes on Zaporizhzhia. Several fires have occurred. According to preliminary information, there are casualties. All details are being established," Fedorov wrote.

Fedorov reported that one person was injured as a result of the attack.
"Information has arrived about one injured. A medical team has been dispatched to the location," he wrote.

Fedorov reported the first victim as a result of the Russian strikes.
"A 61-year-old man has died as a result of the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia," he wrote.
He also stated that there are people under the rubble at one of the impact sites.
"There are people under the rubble. There are injured," he noted.
Consequences of the attack
Fedorov also shared photos showing the aftermath of the Russian drone strikes in the city.

In addition, Ivan Fedorov released a video from the site of one of the Shahed impacts.
"One person has died. At least three people are injured," he added.

The number of those injured in the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia has risen to four.
"The Russians targeted private homes, high-rise buildings, educational institutions, and infrastructure facilities. Preliminary reports indicate that there are people under the rubble," Fedorov wrote.

At 11:20 PM, Fedorov reported that the number of those injured in the attack had risen to seven.
Attack on Ukraine
Last night, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. A total of 74 drones were shot down.
And this evening, the Russian Federation launched several groups of strike drones at Ukrainian territory.
