Russia attacks Ukraine with drones and missiles overnight: Consequenses revealed
Last night in the south of Ukraine, Air Defense Forces shot down 5 enemy Shahed kamikaze drones. As a result of the fall of the drone's wreckage, a fire broke out at an infrastructure facility, according to the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military notes that they had shot down Russian attack drones in two regions in their area of responsibility: Mykolaiv and Vinnytsia. In the first one, four Shaheds were destroyed, and in the other - one.
"As a result of the falling debris, a fire broke out on the open territory of an infrastructure facility. The fire was promptly extinguished," the statement says.
The Southern Defense Forces adds that no one was injured.
In total, the enemy drone attack in the south of the country was repelled for more than 3.5 hours.
The military did not specify where the fire occurred.
Night attack by drones and missiles in Ukraine
Last night and this night, air alerts were declared in many regions in Ukraine due to the threat of enemy attacks using kamikaze drones and missiles - Russian troops once again launched Shakhtys towards Ukraine.
Late in the evening of February 11, Pavlohrad, Dnipro region came under drone attacks. According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, a fire broke out at a power facility in the morning and has been extinguished. Almost 30,000 customers in the Pavlohrad district were left without electricity, and 10,000 customers in Ternivka were left without water.
Explosions were also reported in Kharkiv on Sunday evening. Later, local authorities said that Liubotyn, Kharkiv district, had been hit by missiles, preliminarily from the S-300 system. There were reports of damaged facades of non-residential buildings.
In the morning, the Ukrainian Air Force Command said that in total, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine on the night of February 12 with 17 Shaheds, a Kh-59 guided missile and S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down 14 enemy kamikaze drones and Kh-59s.
