Russia attacked Ukraine with 117 strike drones overnight on June 12. Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept most of the UAVs, although some strikes were recorded, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

Shahed drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones were launched from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, and Millerovo in Russia, as well as Chauda and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data as of 8:00 a.m., air defenses shot down or suppressed 102 enemy drones, including Shaheds, Gerberas, Italmas, and other types of UAVs.

At the same time, impacts by 14 strike drones were recorded at seven locations, while debris from intercepted drones fell at eight locations.

"The attack is ongoing, and several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Please follow safety rules," the Air Force warned.
