Russia attacks Kyiv region with drones: Casualties and damage reported

On the night of May 18, Russian forces attempted to attack the Kyiv region with drones. The attack caused destruction, fatalities, and injuries, reports Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
"Unfortunately, as a result of the enemy attack in the Obukhiv district, a woman died from her injuries. A 61-year-old man, a 59-year-old woman, and a 4-year-old child were wounded. They have been taken to the hospital. All necessary medical care is being provided. The condition of the injured is moderate," the statement said.
Kalashnyk clarified that the attack caused partial destruction of a private house. Additionally, windows were damaged in a nearby multi-story residential building.
"In the Fastiv district, a fire broke out at a feed mill," wrote the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
He added that more detailed information will be provided later.
Russian drone attacks on Ukraine
It should be noted that Russian forces launch drone strikes on Ukraine almost daily.
For example, on the night of May 17, the enemy launched 62 attack drones at Ukraine. In the morning, it was reported that air defense forces shot down 36 drones. In addition, 6 more drone simulators were lost locally.
