Russia attacks Kryvyi Rih: Civilian infrastructure damaged, people may be trapped under debris

Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih on the evening of Wednesday, March 5. The attack damaged civilian infrastructure, and people may be trapped under the rubble, according to the Telegram of the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Kryvyi Rih. Missile attack. We understand everything, already working. Please adhere to information hygiene," wrote Vilkul.
Earlier, the Air Force warned of the threat of ballistic weapons being used from the southern direction and a high-speed target heading towards Kryvyi Rih.
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, as a result of the missile attack in Kryvyi Rih, a fire broke out. Civil infrastructure was damaged, and people may be trapped under the rubble. The situation regarding the consequences is being clarified.
"A direct hit on a civilian infrastructure object. Fire. The first wounded are already in the hospital in the operating room, in critical condition. People may be trapped under the rubble. Possible repeated strikes," Vilkul added.
Attack on Ukraine
On the night of March 5, Russia launched four missiles and 181 drones against Ukraine. The drones attacked from six directions.
Air defense forces managed to shoot down 115 drones across Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, and several other regions. Another 55 decoy drones were lost in specific locations without negative consequences.
The attack affected the Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions.
