On the night of February 9, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using ballistic missiles and various types of strike drones, according to the Air Force.

Missiles and hundreds of drones launched

According to the military, the enemy attacked with 11 Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Bryansk region, as well as 149 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of strike drones.

According to the Air Force, the drones and missiles were launched from seven different directions, including from Russian territory and temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine.

Air defense forces neutralized most of the drones

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.

As of 09:30 am (Kyiv time), air defense forces shot down or suppressed 116 attack drones of various types. Some ballistic missiles were also intercepted and did not reach their targets.

There are hits and debris falls

Missile hits and 23 attack drones were recorded at 15 locations, as well as debris falling from downed targets in six locations.

Attack on February 9

On the night of February 9, Russian troops attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones and artillery. The attack caused destruction and casualties.

That same night, Odesa came under attack from enemy drones. A 35-year-old man was killed in the attack, and two other people, including a 19-year-old girl, were injured. Twenty-one apartments were damaged: the blast wave knocked out 39 windows in the apartments and another 18 in common areas. Two cars were destroyed by fire, and six more were damaged by debris.

Russian strike drones also attacked the private sector of the city of Bohodukhiv in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the strike, a residential building was completely destroyed and a fire broke out. Rescuers recovered the bodies of two victims from the rubble - a woman and a 10-year-old boy. Three other people were injured.
