On the night of February 9, Russian forces carried out a drone attack on Bohodukhiv in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to rescuers, a Russian drone destroyed a house in Bohodukhiv.

The strike occurred in a private residential area of the city where there were no military facilities. The hostile UAV hit a civilian home directly, leaving the building no chance to withstand the impact.

Rescuers from the State Emergency Service arrived at the scene within minutes, but the scale of destruction was catastrophic.

Upon arrival, it became clear that the walls and roof of the house collapsed instantly, burying people who were sleeping peacefully inside. A fire broke out at the site of the tragedy, covering an area of 50 square meters.

The most horrifying discovery came during the debris removal. Rescuers found the bodies of two victims: a 10-year-old boy, whose life had only just begun, and his mother, who was at home with her son.

It is also known that three people were injured and sustained injuries of varying severity. Medics provided them with the necessary medical assistance.

Emergency services and law enforcement officers continue to work at the scene.

Investigators are documenting details of another Russian war crime against the civilian population of the Kharkiv region.

"This is yet another war crime that will inevitably be answered for. The enemy strikes where people are most vulnerable — their homes," law enforcement officials commented.

The affected area and the type of drone used are being established, but one thing remains obvious: the enemy is deliberately targeting residential areas.

The Bohodukhiv district in the Kharkiv region regularly suffers from enemy attacks. The enemy actively uses strike UAVs there due to their maneuverability and low flight altitude, which makes them particularly dangerous for residential neighborhoods.

For example, on February 2, Russia struck a market in Kharkiv with a drone.

Meanwhile, servicemen of the unmanned systems battalion Hatylo, part of the 3rd Separate Heavy Mechanized Iron Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, successfully carried out a combat operation in the village of Kamianka in the Kharkiv region, destroying enemy positions.
