Russia attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones overnight: Air defense systems destroyed all targets
Russian occupying forces attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones overnight on December 18. The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully destroyed all enemy targets, states Ukrainian Air Force.
Russian military launched 5 Shahed-type UAVs from the area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia towards Ukraine. All drones were shot down by mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that the enemy targets were eliminated within the territories of four regions: Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, and Khmelnytskyi.
Attack on Ukraine on the night of December 17
Air raid alarms were sounded in several regions of Ukraine overnight on December 17, warning of drone activity and missile threats. The Ukrainian military reported the flight of a guided aviation missile towards Kropyvnytskyi. Explosions were reported in the city.
Explosions were also heard in Odesa, where the military reported the flight of strike drones from the Black Sea. Later, it was revealed that one of the enemy drones had crashed in a residential area, resulting in the death of a man due to the explosion.
The Air Defense Forces successfully managed to shoot down 20 strike drones and a Kh-59 guided aviation missile that night.
