On the night of March 19, Russians attacked Kyiv with 45 drones. The alert lasted for almost 6 hours, according to Kyiv City Military Administration.

Thus, the air alert on the evening of March 18 and on the night of March 19 lasted for 5 hours and 52 minutes - from 8:26 p.m. to 2:18 a.m.

“On the outskirts of Kyiv and in the airspace of the capital, 45 Russian drones were spotted,” the report says.

Of these, 19 Russian drones were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense units, and the rest were lost locally or left the airspace.

“According to preliminary information, no damage or casualties were reported in Kyiv,” the Kyiv City Military Administration said.

Russian strikes on Kyiv and region

The alert in Kyiv was announced several times. In particular, on Tuesday evening, March 18, an air alert was issued in Kyiv and a number of regions of Ukraine due to the threat of a ballistic missile attack. Around 9 p.m., explosions were heard in Kyiv, and air defense systems were activated.

Later, at about 11 p.m., explosions were heard in Kyiv again, but this time the Ukrainian air defense system was targeting Russian drones. In addition, the Russian occupiers attacked the Kyiv region with drones. As a result of the Russian attack, there were wounded and damaged houses.
