The Russian troops are massively redeploying military equipment from the Berdyansk area to the north of the Donetsk region, taking advantage of the Easter ceasefire, reports Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation.
Movement of military convoys
According to Andriushchenko, the redeployment of forces is taking place openly. Russian troops are using Mariupol as a transit hub to reinforce their units in the northern Donetsk region.
“Mariupol. Easter. Taking advantage of the ceasefire, the Russians are massively transporting equipment from the Berdyansk direction to the north of the Donetsk region. Without hiding,” the head of the center noted.
In addition to the movement of equipment, the deployment of additional checkpoints has been recorded. Two new mobile checkpoints have been set up at the post-bridge near the Azovstal plant.
According to Andriushchenko, this is “a standard procedure before the passage of military convoys.” The further movement of enemy forces is currently being monitored.
Violations of the Easter ceasefire
Despite the expected pause during the holidays, Russian troops committed a series of war crimes. On April 11, near the village of Veterynarne in the Kharkiv region, the Russians shot four Ukrainian prisoners of war.
On Saturday, they killed an evacuation group near Huliaipilske.
The enemy also attacked an ambulance with a drone in the Sumy region, injuring three medical workers.
