Russia has concentrated more than 140,000 troops in the Pokrovsk direction. In total, about 650,000 Russian troops are involved on the front line, according to RBC-Ukraine's article.
According to Colonel Vladyslav Selezniov of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, November has been marked by a fairly high level of combat intensity.
Russia has made territorial gains, capturing approximately 505 square kilometers during fighting in November.
"The lion's share, 40%, is in the east of the Zaporizhzhia region. As for the dynamics, they speak for themselves. Russia is trying to implement the track for which the so-called special military operation began in the first stage - the complete occupation of Donbas," he notes.
According to the expert, a total of about 650,000 Russian troops are involved on the front lines, of which more than 140,000 are fighting in the Pokrovsk direction and about 120,000 in the south of the Zaporizhzhia region.
According to him, the Kremlin continues to involve reservists in the war, which indicates that reserves may be running out. But the difficult economic situation allows Vladimir Putin to find human resources.
Every month, the Russian army loses about 30,000 people, 65% of whom are killed directly. However, the pressure on the Donetsk region continues. The Russians are making every effort to capture Pokrovsk. Having failed to do so before the start of negotiations, they began to capture the city on Russian TV.
Fighting for Pokrovsk
The Pokrovsk direction remains the epicenter of fighting in the Donetsk region. Russian troops are trying to surround Pokrovsk from several directions and are transferring additional forces there.
According to the Ukrainian Airborne Assault Troops, Russians are concentrated mainly in the south of Pokrovsk, with small groups scattered throughout the agglomeration. Russia is storming the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces around the clock and suffering heavy losses.
It was recently reported that Vladimir Putin allegedly visited one of the Russian military command posts.
There, he was informed that the Russians had allegedly captured Pokrovsk and Vovchansk.
Speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Major Andrii Kovaliov noted in a comment to RBC-Ukraine that Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold the northern part of Pokrovsk along the railway line.
At the same time, according to him, active measures are being taken to eliminate Russian soldiers.
