Russian forces have once again begun attacking Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities. Ukraine will respond to such strikes, according to the evening address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to the head of state, he held the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff meeting, during which technological issues were primarily discussed. These concerned the availability of air defense systems and missiles for them, the production schedule, and the supply schedule.

Another issue raised at the Staff meeting was the protection of critical infrastructure, especially energy.

"Russians are now once again concentrating strikes against our energy sector. Of course, our responses exist and will continue, but the main thing is the stability of the system," Zelenskyy said.

He added that the Staff meeting also included reports on Ukrainian drone production: the quality of the drones and quantitative indicators.

The President thanked all manufacturers who are increasing supplies, including long-range weapons.

There were also reports on the situation at the front and the provision of Ukrainian defenders. The most attention was paid to Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Constant Russian strikes on Kherson and intense active operations in the border areas of Sumy region were also discussed.

Night attack

On the night of September 8, Russian forces once again carried out a massive drone attack on Ukraine.
