'Robot army' and 'Electronic warfare army' soon to emerge in Ukraine
The emergence of the "Robot Army" and "Electronic Warfare Army" is imminent in Ukraine. Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science & Technologies — Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine during ForbesTech-2023 told, that the focus will not only be on introducing innovative developments but also on ensuring their scalability, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"Soon we will launch the "Robot Army" and "Electronic Warfare Army". We will rely on our ideology - market opening, transparency and the maximum opportunity to attract businessmen, who have already created various products, know how to scale products," Fedorov said.
Ukrainian-made drones
In July, former Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov revealed that Ukrainian soldiers are equipped with over 20 new types of domestically produced drones.
One notable creation is the Sea Baby, a distinctive marine surface drone manufactured in Ukraine, with production facilities located underground.
By year-end, Ukroboronprom, a manufacturer of weapons and military hardware in Ukraine, plans to supply hundreds of domestically produced drones to Ukrainian soldiers. Notably, the country has initiated serial production of a domestic counterpart to Shaheds.
