Rheinmetall delivers five more Caracal airborne tactical vehicles to Ukraine

The German defense company Rheinmetall has delivered five more Caracal airborne tactical vehicles to the Ukrainian military, n-tv reports.
In total, Ukraine has now received 20 Caracal airborne tactical vehicles, which can be transported by air.
These vehicles are based on the latest militarized chassis of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

The Caracal is an airborne tactical vehicle developed on the basis of the civilian Mercedes-Benz G-Class 464 off-roader.
The chassis is produced by Mercedes-Benz, while the final assembly and additional equipment are completed at Rheinmetall facilities.
The vehicle can be transported both inside cargo holds and on external loads of CH-47F Chinook and CH-53K King Stallion helicopters.
Thanks to its modular design, Caracal tactical vehicles can be equipped with and combine various types of weaponry, from machine guns to anti-tank missile systems. There is also an optional possibility to integrate additional ballistic protection.
The vehicle is powered by a six-cylinder diesel engine with 183 kW of power, allowing a maximum speed of up to 140 km/h. With all-wheel drive, the Caracal offers high off-road capability.
Back in November 2023, it was announced that Rheinmetall would supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Caracal airborne tactical vehicles.
