RF attempts to eliminate underground resistance in Zaporizhzhia region: What is known
On the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region, gauleiters are implementing covert measures to identify any centers of resistance to Russian occupation. They have even devised a new method for this purpose, according to the National Resistance Center.
In particular, under the guise of introducing the so-called license-permit system for controlling firearms and ammunition, the occupiers have obliged residents of the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region who possess firearms to urgently register with the units of the so-called Administration of the Federal Service of Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation in the Zaporizhzhia region.
"In this way, the occupational authorities are reacting to the results of internal sociological surveys among the population of the temporarily occupied territories, which demonstrated a high level of pro-Ukrainian sentiments," explained the National Resistance Center.
However, as noted by the Center, these measures will not aid Moscow in its attempts to bring the occupied territory under its control because, for the majority of the local population, Russians continue to be perceived as enemies.
The situation on the front line
The struggle against underground movements and partisans in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region is becoming increasingly pressing for the occupiers with each passing day as Ukrainian forces advance. In a report by the Institute for the Study of War as of the morning of November 25, it was mentioned that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have continued counteroffensive operations near Bakhmut and have made slight advancements in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region.
