The increase in Ukraine's prisoner exchange pool provides additional opportunities for conducting prisoner exchanges with Russia. Soon, Ukrainians will learn exactly how the exchange procedure is carried out, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Today, during the Staff meeting, a strategy for returning our people from Russian captivity was presented. There are many delicate details, including those related to the formation of lists and work with partners," the president said.

He instructed representatives from the Defense Intelligence, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), and the Armed Forces of Ukraine to present to the public the necessary details regarding how the prisoner exchange procedure takes place.

"I also instructed them to involve public organizations of the relatives of Ukrainian military and civilians currently in captivity. Such an increase in trust is necessary," Zelenskyy added.

It should be noted that today, August 15, Ukraine established a military commandant's office in the Kursk region.

During the Staff meeting, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that the search and elimination of the enemy in the town of Sudzha and three other settlements in the Kursk region had been completed.

Moreover, RBC-Ukraine reported that SSU fighters captured more than 100 Russian soldiers in the Kursk region, some of whom were fighters from Kadyrov's Akhmat unit.
