A rescue operation is ongoing at the site of the shelling in Dnipro. As of the morning of June 29, one person is reported dead and 12 injured, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"Dnipro: search and rescue operations continue in a multi-story building damaged by enemy missile strikes. As of the morning of June 29, 1 person has died, 12 people have been injured, including 1 child. 2 people have been rescued," the report says.

According to the State Emergency Service (SES), apartments from the 8th to the 11th floors in one of the entrances have been destroyed, and 11 cars have been damaged.

"The fire has been extinguished over an area of 150 square meters. 190 tons of construction debris have been removed. More than 100 rescuers and 35 units of equipment from the SES have been involved in the operation," the agency added.

Dnipro shelling

On June 28, explosions were heard in Dnipro. Almost immediately, it became known that the occupiers had launched a missile strike on a multi-story building, and reports of casualties emerged.

Initially, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported three injured. Then the number of wounded began to increase. According to the latest information, one person has died, and 12 others, including a 7-month-old baby and a pregnant woman, have been injured.
