Rescue efforts continue for third day in Kharkiv after massive Russian strike

Rescue workers continue to work at the site of the Russian strike on Kharkiv on the night of June 7. People may still be trapped under the rubble, stated Artem Astakhov, head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region.
Astakhov stated that the Russian attack hit a civilian facility in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv, causing extensive destruction and fires across four industrial workshops, covering a total area of 10,000 square meters.
Two people were rescued from the debris.

"After the rescue operation, part of the building collapsed, injuring a rescuer. There is a possibility that six more people remain under the rubble," he added.
Astakhov also reported that the fire was localized at 8:35 a.m. on June 8. Its elimination is currently underway.
Kharkiv strike
Russian forces carried out a combined attack on the city of Kharkiv during the night of June 7, using a mix of drones, guided aerial bombs, and missiles.
According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Russian troops targeted an industrial facility in the city's Kyivskyi district with 40 attack drones. Five employees were injured in the strike.
